I was one of the girls selling candy at the Tuschinski Theatre.
We had a great day and it was a pleasure to meet you all.
The show was brilliant, we hope the convention comes back to Amsterdam soon because it was one of the best shows in the Tuschinski Theatre since the 1930’s
I had a lovely time at the convention. Nice people, lots of things to do, good food and a very nice Laurel & Hardy feeling. The Perfect Day guys did a great/fantastic job.
Thank you very much,
Cor van den Boogaard
It was a great Convention, even the windy and wet weather didn’t spoil a minute
One of the highlights: the Tuschinski Event on saturday. Its great to experience the humor of The Boys with so many laughing people!
Thanks to all, for organising these 4 fantastic days…

Hello Perfect Day Guys........
On behalf of all the Saps “I have nothing to say”.
No that is NOT correct I have plenty to say and will be saying this for a looooooong time to come. You ‘blew us away’ with the effort that you all put into it before hand and when it arrived theAmsterdam International Convention of 2008 was Fantastic. You sure know how to prepare a meal!
I hope you can all now sit down, relax, savour the event, have a few beers together (shame the Saps can’t join you!) in the knowledge that you did the Sons of the Desert proud and honoured Laurel and Hardy in High Multitude.
Roger and the Sapssssssss !
What a surprise it was that I woke up this morning! I had expected to open my eyes again by Wednesday. Life isn’t short enough.......
All these nice reactions and clips on this website...! I hadn’t seen a thing.!
I only have to bring back my Volendammer costume today and wait for the bills to come in.....
And eh.......Cold Turkey!.. that were the words I was looking for......
Goodbyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Dear all,
We organized this International Laurel & Hardy Convention with pleasure and with our hearts. We love all your kind words. But the Convention was also a succes because of the help of the volunteers and all the delegates of the participating Tents.
Thank you Sons of the Desert. Stan & Ollie will be proud of us.

Thanks for a wonderful convention. Lots of preparation, thought, talent, and love - went into this one. You have all done the boys proud. I shall remember fondly - that lovely hotel, the beautiful bird park, the well-planned pre-convention tours, the great entertainment, and meeting old and new friends. Now you can rest on your laurels and I give you a hardy salute. Love to all. . .
WHat a great convention, great people. Ray brought me to this, my 1st convention, as he wanted me to see a convention and also the Avifauna Park. Had a great time but one this you missed out on was new feet and legs.
Your convention team worked well and everything was very well planned down to the last detail.
WELL DONE>

What a swell time we had! You threw a very happy week at us.
We are standing in our shower, holding our umbrellas and pretending that we are still in Alphendam, or wherever it was.
Thank you for showing us your nether regions. Come to America and we’ll show you ours.
Fraternally yours,

Because of past conventions in the Netherlands, we expected this to be a first-class event and it sure was. There are now many, many memories of the convention and we are still laughing at some of the goings-off. Thanks for a marvellous time.
Thank you for the great convention.
Every day was a “perfect day”!
I found a lot of new friends and I hope, we see us again.
Regards to all Perfect Day Tent members and to all participants.

A huge tip of the derby and a fantastic hats off to all concerned with organising and running the Convention.
We had a swell time and will forever have happy memories of the event.
We met lots of good friends and renewed old ones.
Highlights were the lookalikes, the Rhine trip, the canal trip, the fancy dress, the pee wee, the model T’s, the fun, the laughter, the Tuschinski Theatre, the lunch in the Five Flies, the quiz, the Hula Dancers, the Wanna Beatles, need I go on......?

Hi friends, thanks for the brillant convention. It was a honour to take care for Jean Darling, even it was a burden sometimes too.
When I came home I found a lot of questions on the Internet, and many people wants to visit the German Laurel & Hardy Museum. You see, Stan & Ollie live in the hearts of many people, not only the Sons of the Desert. I hope you visit us in the future, we all are in the service of Stan & Ollie, and a great service it sure is.

Wow ! What a Convention, I am still recovering, My thanks to Bram, Mapp, Anton, and Sjaak for great organisation and a perfect location, also to, Bill Leavy & Jamie McKenna aka ‘The Boys’ who made it very special, great to meet everyone I converse with on the Internet, you all made it special for me on my 1st. Convention,I will always recomember it, What a great gathering of ‘Sons’ I felt I knew most of you beforehand, through photo’s in ‘Bowler Dessert’ and ITJ. and Computer.
Thanks again,
John B.
I’ve been attending Conventions for 25 years, but the sheer class of everything from the venue, banquets, entertainment, films, and trips, made this the BEST. And not forgetting all those who attended, for it is people who ultimately make any Convention.
And the “Golden Tulip Award” goes to Bram, Maaaap, Sjaak and Anton for their superb organisation.

B.S. A big thank you to all those who attended my short presentation. Sorry to say, but I can’t let you know the name of the person who wrote this!!
Ooops!
I forgot to mention Robert. Sorry Robert, you did a magnificent job - but you’re too young and good looking.
